2500+ showing up as 1900+

i just installed my amd athlon xp 2500+ into my other mobo, SoYo KT400 Ultra Black edition and i cant figure how to make it show its real procesor speed. I know on my other mobo SoYo KT600 Pus v1.0 i change to change something around othe mobo, but how do i do it on my this board.

 

You would probly have to go into the bios and check, and maybe set the correct FSB. Some common commands are to press, Delete, or F1 durning start up. That should bring you to the bios. Your motherboard might be differnt, so double check in your manuel on how to get into the bios, and how to change your FSB.

wut shoudl i set the FSB at? I know how to get into the bios, thats no prob i was just wondering becuz its different on my other board.

 

Well your processor runs at a FSB of 333. It might be differnt in the bios however. I.E. My XP2400 has a FSB of 266. In my bios its set as 133. My board calls it "memory frequency"

Look around and see if you can set it to 333. That should do it. If not, some one here will know the correct setting.

Well it is a AMD processor, does your mobo have softmenu? if it does you can just use any speed.

If that doesnt work, use the multiplier and the freq. use calc to get right speed.

 

XP 2500 = In Bios Multiplier set to 11, CPU FSB = 166
