no offense but; what did you just say? your question is not very legible and as to not confuse yourself and others you ussaly use Megabytes if it doesnt reach a gigabyte.

    OK
    I have three folders
one contains 24 mpg's on average ar about 440.500mb each. and two .avi's that are about 200mb each.
    for a total of 10818.793mb.
    my question is
Is it possible to save that on a disc?

YES! you need cd or dvd burner
CD will hold about 700mb or 80min
    DVD average single sided 4.7gb
HDD depends on the size, but I'll assume that where you have it stored now.

yes I have my file stored on my hard drive and I wish to save them to CD.
I do have a CD burner. I am not sure if it burns DVD's. I have tried it but they dont fit
each file is smaller than 700 Mb or 80 min.

    ex.
    Enterprise - 1x01 - Broken Bow part 1.mpg

    properties

    size 440 mb
    size on disk 436 MB
    whats the dif?

and for some reason my thumbnails dont work on my mpg's. but they do work on jpg's. how do I fix that?

Wow, do you speak in tongues as well? :p

Right. Try deleting your Thumbs.db file in the folder which the offending MPGs are in.

What burning program are you using? And does it give you a indicator bar of sorts to tell you how much space you've taken up? You should be able to copy that file onto a CD no problems.

Your CD burner will not write DVDs, dvd writers have a totally different laser to write with, and unless youve only bought it just recently, and it cost quite a bit, its probably not a DVD writer

he he...if you have a cd burner, it will only burn cd's and you are limited to the size of the cd's...which is 700mb or 80min if you have a dvd burner (which i don't think you do) then you are limited to the size of the dvd's...which is 4.7gig

I don't follow. there are no other files, just the MPG's. and non are hidden.
