2nd HDD inaccessible, help recovering data

Hi,
My secondary HDD has failed and i can no longer access it.
It still appears in My Computer but when u try to open it, it tells me it's not formatted and asks if i want to format it.

This is not the drive i have windows installed on, i have all my music, pictures and videos on it instead (tis my multimedia hdd if you will) so "reinstalling" windows won't work. I've tried a couple of the free data recovery things on this site but none work. I don't want to pay for something unless I really have to.

Is there any way I can recover the data? If I cant save it the way it is, could I reformat it (possibly giving me access to it again) and then maybe a recovery tool mite be able to recover stuff?

Any advice appreciated. Guess I should've taken note of the SMART reallocated sector count warning Everest gave me

Try using Partition Find-n-Mount. Just be sure to change the default drive letter it will assign to the drive. It usually will use the lowest letter possible (like A: or B: ) but I prefer to use a higher letter like X: or Y:.

:-D what an AMAZING program! Found my dead drive and I was able to mount it, I'm currently trying to copy it all onto my main HDD, dunno if it will work and I might be back to remove my compliments of this program, haha, but for now, woo!
