2nd Monitor Mouse Problem

Hi,
Running Dell laptop Ryzen pro 7. Have done firmware and graphics and mouse updates but the larger 2nd monitor im using (dell U2412m) which is attached via c type displayport to displayport cable, had been working fine. The mouse works fine on the laptop but on the larger monitor it appears that its about 2cm from where it is supposed to be when i click on something. Checked on Dell site and i've updated the driver (still about 5 years old driver tho). Cant update any management software because it's only attached to laptop as secondary monitor. Any advice most welcome. Thanks
