2Wire 2071HG-B problems!

I need help. I've done so much research on this problem it's about to drive me insane. I'm a big gamer, I play a lot of online games (WoW, CoD4, BF2, etc.) and i have this constant lag spike that follows me EVERYWHERE. I have great ping numbers, but every 30-40 seconds, I get a big "Connection Interrupted..." warning on my screen and after about one second it will go away. Every game I play I get a 1 second lag spike every 30-40 seconds. I've opened ports, lowered the MTU settings a tad. I don't know what to do anymore. AT&T tech support didn't help me a bit at all from all 4 phone calls. Any suggestions? If your a FPS gamer you'd understand why this is driving me nuts...
