3.5" Floppy Issue W/ Win10/64 Laptop

Hi! I have an issue with my Win10/64 laptop's external USB floppy drive: it is reporting as Drive B: instead of Drive A:. I tried the diskmgmt utility, and the drive didn't appear at all. How do I revert it? I'd rather switch it back to Drive A: than fix my batch files and icons to use Drive B:. Thank you for listening.

I don't use Windows 10 and not sure if these olf threads will work.

We have 3 USB floppy drives. I've thankfully disconnected all of them. I've convinced my husband that USB sticks are smaller, hold 1000 times more data and as he has discovered copying from 1 stick to another is much faster than copying 1 floppy to another.

Consider moving all the files off floppy disks and putting them on USB sticks.

You are right about using flash drives instead of floppies. I use flash drives a lot. I just like to use floppies. I don't know why; maybe I like compressing things.

I tried both threads, but the drive didn't appear in either specified location.
