3.9 Cats out

Call of Duty would not load for me with the 3.9's. Played through the whole game with the 3.7's with no problems (clean installs). Max Payne also had control issues with 3.9's. Went back to 3.7's this morning and no problems. May just be my system and would be interested in others experiences. UT2K3 played good on both drivers!

 

By now most everyone knows that there is an OGL problem with ATI AWI cards with the 3.9 cats. A hot fix is now listed on the ATI site

This is a known issue with both games. It was the same in 3.8, too, IIRC.

 

The 16 bit was a know problem, but the new 3.9 issue has to do with the Games crashing on the AIW cards. I can play the games fine with the 3.8 (except for 16bit issue). This fix evidently only fixes the crash to desktop issues and only for the AIW cards.
