I tried everything listed in the thread "READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT"

The only trouble with booting in safemode was all icons and text were huge and some of the file icons(Needed for scan) were unavailable on the desktop.

Anyway i have run AVG free edition and am unable to remove these 3 Trojans.

    Trojan horse Dialer.13.L
    Trojan horse Downloader.Mediket.D
    Trojan horse Downloader.Mediket.E

Any help or info on the removal of these, will be much appreciated. Can you tell me if the symptoms i had while booting in "Safe Mode" are normal or if i did it wrong, thanks.

I also have 3 icons on my desktop that i have no idea what they are or why they are there? Here are there descriptions.

    hs_err_pid1816.log
    stinger.opt
    vv.dat

    Thanks in advance

If you have completed all the steps in this sticky thread READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan And Virus Removal please read below:

If you already have any of the programs linked in the tutorial please double check your version to make sure you have the latest one and that you have any/all updates for the programs.

NOTE: In order to resolve the issues you are having it is very important that you at least try to perform all the steps as outlined. If you have any difficulty please post back letting us know what steps you have completed, what you found while doing the scans if anything and details about any problems you have encountered in completing the steps. The more details you can provide the better.

After doing ALL of the above if you still have a problem:

Make sure you have HijackThis 1.99 and follow the guidelines on where to install it and how to post a log as an attachment. This is all covered in the sticky thread NO HIJACK THIS LOG FILES BEFORE READING THIS: HJT Tutorial & LOG File Posting

Now post a HijackThis as a .txt file attachment to your message. All running programs should be closed, including your web browser, e-mail. Close before running Hijack This!

Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file. Place it in its own folder, for example C:\Program Files\HJT

    - hs_err_pid1816.log - could be some kind of error log file. This one is safe to bring up in notepad and look at. You should be able to figure out from that what it is from.

    - When McAfee Stinger runs it creates the Stinger.opt file that saves the
current Stinger configuration. This way when you run Stinger the
next time your previous configuration is what is used, as long
as the Stinger.opt file is in the same directory as Stinger.exe

    - For vv.dat (note that's two v's) It could be the following - http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/Print129630.htm
