30Mb high speed

    hello. got my internet from 15Mb/s to 30 Mb/s. new modem and all. it didnt give more speed(well 1 sec it did sorta)..
    called up my isp , we did a speed test, it = 11 Mb not 30 like he thought. I started in safe mode with him, it was beyond 40Mb! back to normal boot was about 10-15 Mb. Im sure my pc is quite clean, what could be stopping the speed? between safe and non? pls give a hand ;):-o

    WHERE the speed test is happening is not the issue. It's that the computer attached can't use the speed when it's booted regularly. It does use all of the speed in safe mode but not when booted normally with all the normal drivers and overhead.

    Can you give us the model of the computer and the OS, also the network card that you are using? Have you checked for driver updates?
