32-bit And 64-bit Apps

I now have a 64-bit computer for the first time, so I do not know this. I have soooo many 32-bit games and I want to know if they can be played on a 64-bit computer. Most are also for older versions of Windows from 2000 to Vista.
Please help the dummy,

A 64-bit operating system can run 32-bit applications. Depending on which Windows version(s) they were written for, and what your current operating system is, you may need to run them in Compatibility mode. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/15078/windows-make-older-programs-compatible

It isn't just about 32 or 64 bit Donna, it's also about Windows versions so don't expect them all to run. If you are running Win 10 now, even in compatibility mode, many older games and programs either won't run at all or won't run satisfactorily. Fact of life I'm afraid.

That's why I have 1 computer running 2K (off the internet) and 2 computers running XP (off the internet) and once Win 7 support ends in less than 2 years, we will keep a few of them just to play games.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that some of the old 9x games still work on my 32 bit Win 7 system. I suspected they were 16 bit.
