32-bit Ms Edge

Hi All,

I see MS released a version of Edge for platforms other than Win10, but as yet only a 64-bit version is available. Has anybody heard any rumors about a 32-bit version?

 

Interesting, I didn't know that they released that.
If you are looking for 32 bit browsers, there are a lot of lesser known browsers. Brave, Pale Moon, Waterfox. Many others, too, just naming ones off the top of my head.

Microsoft has not officially released Edge for Windows 8/8.1 and 7.
There's a leaked version which can be downloaded from dubious websites.

 

Microsoft offers virtual machine images for all its browsers from IE 8 through to Edge...... this way edge can be tested with an older OS across VM, or test in the cloud using BrowserStack.
Not sure if 32bit is handled, you could research deeper/

 

Thanks for the clarification. I found a Bleeping Computer article that gives more detail, but this is not some bootleg, hacked version of Edge. It's an MS release of MS software.

I think the good people who run Majorgeeks.com would take exception to being called a dubious website.
