My friend and I were at the hospital a few days before Christmas. She was doing a sugar test during her current pregnancy, and I had some vacation time, so I told her I'd take the day and go with her. She had to be there for 3 hours, and I figured it would be blindingly boring sitting there on her own, ya know?

Anyway, of course we both had our cell phones, and were killing time taking pictures of things and either texting them to people, or uploading them to facebook, and talking about Christmas presents. I told her about this gag exchange I'm in that they call the white elephant, and that this time I made a frame with 9 pictures of me, my animals, and some vacation shots. Part of the exchange is that you have to display what you get for the year, and the presents are either marked guy or girl, and stay within the gender for the exchange. I thought it would be funny for some guy to have to put my pictures up in his house for the year, even if they ended up being a relative of mine.

She challenged me to taking a picture of something every day, and then making a 365 picture photo album, and giving it to someone as a serious gift next year. I started by using a picture I had taken with her that day.

Alright, time to get on topic. Turns out there's this website that people have been throwing around on facebook.. 365 Project which is the same idea, but created as a social networking tool where you can follow and have followers.

Have any of you started using this site yet? If you have, or if you think you might, you're welcome to follow me there: http://365project.org/paxton007/365

But today when I upload something will only be day 2, so don't expect a great deal just yet, LOL. If you're in already, or when you join, post your link. It'd likely grow faster than a photography thread, and I know there are some of you that I wouldn't mind seeing work from every day. If nothing else, it'll help you get your value out of whatever camera it is that you're shooting with. Being able to view the EXIF data of the pictures, I think it might even be an useful tool, especially for uneducated DSLR owners like myself. :major

    Hey Pax

I've seen a lot of photographers on deviantArt doing that. It's a cool project. Good luck with it. I think it'll make you look closer at things and maybe see them different since you are looking to take photos each day.
