3D Desktop Prototype

This is pretty darn cool looking. It might be over the top, but I think it could be useful and fun. What do you guys think?

Honestly I dont see the point making the 2d desktop as messy and complex as a 3d desktop,thats why real desks get so messed up,no one can be bothered tidying up,even the virtual desk looked a mess,sitting down to big mess like that would put me off whatever I was doing and tidying it up would take work time away

Differen I caon heights is a good idea as it would give more room for desktop icons but I'd prefer seperate 2d desktop Pages that you could navigate through like webpages

I guess the only people who will know if its a good idea or not are the guys who get to test it for a week and compare it to windows

 

Good idea and technology, but it's more a gimmick, and the novelty would quickly wear off.

Folders already keep everything organised and accessible, and this complicates things rather than making it easier.


I prefer the bare minimum on my desktop.

 

I very much agree with both of you, thats its more gimmick than practicality, but who knows...
