My sister called me to pick up her HP Pavilion a6200n desktop PC (bought 3yrs ago new) that had a BootUp issue..

I find that (1) of the RAM 1GB chips has gone bad. I removed it and PC booted fine..

However, to my shocking eyes after opening a ie browser she has like 10 search bars. I knew this was bad. I called her and asked when was the last time this was cleaned. she replied "NEVER"... (i see that)

I first did a MWB scann.. would time out in full scann so I was able to do a quick scann (see log) If found over 100 items

I then did a superantispyware scann (also quick scann) found well over 100 items.. also this did quarenteen the items yet did not save a log so I took an image of the vult.. (see image)

I did a hijackthis (see log)

I then did a housecall online virus scann (No Infections Found)

I then did a combofix scann (see log)

Last I did a TDDkiller scann (No Issues Found)

It for sure runs better however I ask that you review LOGS and thank you for your kind assistance & input

    Is it not at C:\MGlogs.zip?

    OK, if not try this:

Please click Start, Run, and enter cmd and click OK. This will open a command prompt window. Enter the below commands at the command prompt each followed by the enter key. The bold black are commands. The purple is merely informational.

    • cd \MGtools <-- this changes to the MGtools folder and the prompt should change to C:\MGtools>
    • nwktst<-- this will try to run all one scan from MGtools. Tell me what error messages, if any, you see.
    • GetRunKey <-- this will try to run all one scan from MGtools. Tell me what error messages, if any, you see.
    • ShowNew <-- this will try to run all another scan from MGtools. Tell me what error messages, if any, you see.
    • analyse <-- this attempts to run HijackThis. Be sure to click the Accept button twice in the license agreement popup or it will just sit there and wait.
Now look for the C:\MGlogs.zip file and attach it no matter what happened while doing the above.
