    Hi princess jewel,

It is always a good idea to start with the Cleanup Tutorial HERE:
READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan and Virus Removal

Please note the steps that you are able to complete and the ones that give you problems. Note that you need to be in Safe Mode with System Restore OFF (if you have it - you didn't give OS) and have the Viewing of Hidden Files ENABLED as per the instructions in the link. Make sure to do the Online Scans.

Post back and let us know how you fared.

    Best luck :)

When I came in here to post that-my pc completely carshed. Now I cannot get it past the blue HP screen (i think the boot up screen?) I cannot press F8, I can not do anything-not even pass go and collect $200. I am working from a laptop right now but wont have it for long-PLEASE HELP!!!

    Hi Princess Jewel,

If you are able to get your machine to boot, try to scan with HijackThis and send us the log. You can D/L HijackThis with the laptop and put it on a floppy and save the log to the floppy and send it to us via the laptop, if necessary.

Note that your HijackThis should be up-to-date (v1.98.2) and MUST be extracted to its own safe folder - C:\Program Files\HijackThis! If you can't do this, run it from the Desktop - but only scan. Do not fix anything with it.

If you need a Fresh Download of HJT, get it HERE: HijackThis 1.98.2

Also note that, before you scan, you MUST close all running programs including your web browser, e-mail and items in the system tray.

Please save your HJT Log as a .txt file and attach it via the "Manage Attachments" tool in the Additional Options section when you post.

Try to send us a log. There do not seem to be a lot of other forum members responding to these threads. I'll try to check back. Hang in there ;)

    Best,
    PP

you can try and end all their running processes and then you'll be able to delete them or you can delete them in safe mode, or run any kind of trojan remover scan (adaware, anti-virus program, spybot...) see if that could work

And if I cannot get my pc to boot? It only goes to that blue screen-nothing more-its like from the moment it gets turned on-it is locked up.

Is this the blue HP Invent screen?

It goes only to the HP Hewlitt Packard screen-you know when you turn your pc on-and it is on that blue screen-that is where mine is stuck. It won't go past that-not into dos, safe mode, nothing.

    That can't be good.

    Can you enter the BIOS?

    I believe its F1 or F2.

See if you can reset the defaults and see what happens.

I have tried every F1-12 just to see if I could get it to go anywhere-It won't budge past that blue screen.

Well, thats not a software issue, I'm afraid.

You could try removing the CMOS battery from the board for about 5-10 minutes and putting it back in.

That will reset the machine back to defaults.
