5 civilians killed in Afgahnistan update

If you recall there was a thread about civilians who were executed while bound and gagged by NATO forces, I can't find it but here's an update of the real story.

My heart goes out to the forces fighting in a terrorist action,as Digital said they do not have the luxury of time to make certain that the guy in the room with a kalashnikof is one of the good guys or the baddies.

I have been in several conflicts and two of them where the enemy was not in uniform, there is no better laxative in the world than being on patrol in an area where all the women are fully covered (and could be a man) and all the men wear long clothes that could easily conceal a weapon.

There is only a heartbeat between life and death and you have a decision to make, inevitably it goes wrong sometimes but the young soldiers can not be blamed for wanting to live.

 

I'm not judging the soldiers one way or the other my only reason for posting the article was to show that the allegations in the original story that NATO soldiers executed prisoners while bound and gagged were unfounded,as many of us pointed out in the original thread.

I was giving a personal point of view of the situation they are facing.
