** 5 years. Can't delete Program!! Help Please!! **

I have a Program called "Ringtone Media Studio - Published By: Avanquest USA".. I have deleted this program numerous times... & it goes through the Wizard thingy... BUT... does not delete!! Can someone help please.. thank you!! =)

 

What operating system are you using?

Couple of things you can try:

1. Whenever I run into a program that refuses to be uninstalled is to reinstall the program over the top of the old install and then try to uninstall it. You may simply have lost the uninstall executable or lost the registry key that informs Windows as to where the uninstaller is stored.
2. I went to the Ringtone Media Studio homepage and the author has a feature that allow you to contact him/her directly. Seeing as the author only had 75 downloads of the app last month, I imagine that he/she would get back to on this "unable to uninstall" issue.
3. Make sure it's not a 'portable app" that creates no registry entries nor any files outside of the installation directory, and can therefore be fully deleted by simply deleting the program directory.

When you uninstall the program, does any of it get uninstalled or is the entire program left behind?
Does the program still launch and run after an uninstall attempt?

 

Just realized that I checked out the wrong homepage, so forget about #2 suggestion above. I did try to find Ringtone Media Studio on the Avanquest website but their link to the program just takes the user to a largely blank page. I imagine that the app is no longer supported.

 

Thanks Rustysavage... I did try to look for it too... & when i uninstall.. it has the little green --------------- like it took everything off.. but 1) there is nothing in my computer that i can find... & B) it stays in my UNINSTALL window thingy... lol...

Plodr.. I did have a link to that Revo.. but when i clicked it it said it was unable to connect.. i just clicked your new links.. im guessing my link was a bad one.. i havent been on here in a while.. due to net issues.. but im back.. and ready clean this thing out...
