512 mb or 1 gb flash card

    :) Is there any chance that someone could give me some idea of how many minutes of video will fit on a 512MB or a 1GB flash memory card for my digital camera? Thanks guys... :rolleyes:

    My son has 32mb compaq flash he gets aprox 3 1/2 minutes of video.
    You can do the math.

    It all depends on the camera too. And the codec used. PLus the quality at which you record the video at.

    A lot of cameras have some pretty low settings and also can support using better compression codecs. Which means it can range from somewheres in the a meg a minute range to the 15 megs a minute range.

    Although I think Asus, numbers would be the most accurate. The average camera will most likely record to a rather large format and ends up taking about 10 megs per minute worth of video.
