60Hz or more

GV-NX62LTC256T This is the graphics card I am wanting to install but cannot find it mentioned in the GIGABYTE support is this compatible and will it work on my " Compaq Presario WF 1907v monitor with the " GIGABYTE mobo "GA-M61SME-S2 with 2 gig Ram ,for some reason it keeps saying " out of range and when I customize it to that with " NVIDIA " still looks wrong , can I UP THE FREQUENCY from what is says , 1440x900 at 60Hz , will it work at say 75 or 80Hz it looks wrong on the monitor just looks wrong I COULD REVERT BACK TO THE MOBO graphics card which is a 54 and this is a 62 so what is wrong any help ,. You are asking a lot of questions but I am really strugling to follow your post.

The card should work fine with your motherboard. It sounds like like it is a monitor issue. Your card will only display the refresh rates that your card can support however it maybe that the monitor doesnt support that higher rate. Low refresh rates are normally more compatable but you should have it set on the highest rate that your monitor will support as this is easier on the eye and helps to prevent eye strain if you use the monitor for a long time

 

Still messing about with this " compaq wf1907v monitor " with windows 7 linked to ! GIGABYTE " MOBO , 2 GB RAM , 500GB hard drive , still when in 1440 x 900 x 60Hz cannot see the bottom taskbar , start, clock etc, etc, any other ideas , now trying install " VISTA ! OF WHICH i do not want may even try upgraded XP 2011 , STIIL looking , thanks

 

This may seem a bit obvious but it is not just a case that the startbar has been minimised (dragged down) of the bottom of the screen or the monitor needs resizing is it?

 

Yes well I gathered that is why I ask . I have tried a very tedious way with NVIDIA customize tryingvarois methods and frequencies still looked strange so it looks like wipe use and install XP bit sad really thought get some good answers here ,no thanks to.all anyway bash on.

 

Taken off that video card and just used the mobo card think it is NVIDIA 530 or something then install Xp thanks again .
