Hey everyone, just wondering if someone could answer my question. Here goes...

Is there a Motherboard compatible with both a 64 Bit Processor and DDR2 memory?

I would appreciate an answer. Thanks

Most of the newer Intel chipsets support DDR2, that and an Intel 64 bit proicessor and you will be set. Amd will not have a socket to support DDR2 untill maybe late 2006 it is called socket M2. DDr 2 really does not offer to much of an performance increase over DDR memory.

Any reason why you want DDR2? Currently it's no faster.

Maybe when AMD adopt it there will be an improvement as they use an onboard memory controller, but at the moment you are paying a premium for nothing really and limiting yourself to Intel only.

Only reason for DDR 2/3 is because they consume less wattage then conventional DDR, so you will find them mainly on laptops.DDR4 seems to kick butt though.
