Recently downloaded an update for my Intel(R)82845G Graphics controller. Installation went fine. I then went to desktop > display modes > high color, of course to change my resolution, and lo and behold resolution 640x480 was no longer listed on the menu. No longer listed under true color also. I then went to desktop properties > settings > advanced tab > adapter > list all modes, and 640x480 is listed in "List of valid modes", which shows me the update does support this resolution. My monitor also supports this resolution. Could someone tell me why my desktop display modes menu no longer lists 640x480? Is there a way to get this resolution placed on the menu?
AM using a desktop HP 533w, Intel Celeron CPU, 2000MHz, ASUS motherboard, 512MB RAM, Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller, (yeah, I know, maybe I should upgrade to a better desktop, but that takes what they call "MONEY"!!) Any help will be greatly appreciated.

yes nvidia driver drop the 640X480 a while ago and a lot of compagny don`t support anymore 640x480 so the same thing just happen to you so if you realy want 640x480 you have to go back to your old driver......

Thanks, Clark_Kent, for your response to my inquiry. Checked my nvidia driver and found it still supported 640x480. Am still using the original driver that came with my desktop. Only updated the Intel Graphics Controller. Maybe I'm missing something here, but if my monitor supports this resolution, my graphics controller supports this resolution, and the Nvidia driver supports this resoution, and it is listed in "List all modes", then why isn't it listed on the desktop display modes menu? You'll have to excuse me for I operated computers in the Air Force in 1969, so you can understand why I can be so baffeled by today's technology!??! It's no big deal, but I do use this resolution to play some online card games. I can bring up this resolution if I go to Desktop > properties > settings > advanced > adapter > list all modes then click on 640x480, but I miss the lazy way of just pulling it up through the display mode menu. Again, thanks for your response.
