BFG 6800 Ultra by FAR!!! The 6800 has 16 pipelines and is 256bit. The x1550 has 4 pipelines and is 128bit.

    End of story.

(the nVidia Geforce 6800 series was one of the best lines of AGP cards ever made in my opinion. ATIs x1900/1950 was good too, but between the 6800 and an x1550, there's NO contest. Check for yourself: install each card and run a series of benchmarks like the 3dmark 03 or AquaMark or RTHDRIBL or even Video Card Stability Test; all are available here at Major Geeks in the Benchmark section, except RTHDRIBL; Google it and you'll find it)

    Here's some links:

yea thats wat i thought just that i dont have a socket 939 mobo with agp , its just that i have my stuff mixed up my 6800 ultra is with a socket 462 athlon xp 2700+ 2.2ghz which is overclocked to 170 fsb x13 1gb ram and my x1550 is with a socket 939 athlon 3000+ 1.8ghz 200fsb x9 could be overclocked to 2.2ghz 250fsb x9 if i had a new mobo and 2gb ram. does anybody know where to find a decent socket 939 mobo with agp 1 that has 4 ram slots 3gbs sata socket 939 with agp under $70? cause all the good ones on newegg are gone and dont think they will have anymore since the socket 939 products are dissapearing

i have run 3dmark03 tests but both are in differnt pcs and cant fit the agp into a pci x16 the x1550 scored upto 11000 and the 6800 scored upto 13000 but both keep falling higher and lower right now the 6800 is getting lower each test first 11000 then 13000 then 8000 then 5000 but the x1550 is 8000 then 5000 then 11000 so i really dont know if i had a decent socket 939 mobo with agp i could score even higher than any of those scores just that i have an asus a8v-xe mobo which is messed up does anybody know where i can find a good priced socket 939 with agp?

I would recommend that you make due with what you have now and start saving your money for some new gear. I played the "I'll keep upgrading little pieces here and there" game and it ended up all revolving around an AGP video card that cost me $140 (plus shipping) so I ended up stuck in a older platform longer than necessary. I should have not purchased the AGP card. I should kept my old socket 754 board and FX5700 for another 3-4 months, then I would have had the setup I have now except I would have actually had it alot sooner.

yea ill go with u ill just save money till i have nough for a new socket am2 cpu and mobo one of them fancy nvidia 9800 and maybe by the time i save up enough money for that might as well make em fancy amd socket 15000 50 core and nvidia quad core nuclear powered 25000 ultras and 1terabyte ram and a million gb harddrives an terabyte dvds and coolers that keep ur computer runnin at under -250c and sound cards that give crystal clear lifelike sound and 10000w psu's and 10' wide 10' tall computer cases really u got a point there it better to save money for something really good instead off slowly getting outdated week by week my pc is good enough for some good games like fear assasins creed and other games so it should be good for some 1-2 years or so and i might have some good money for a pc.
