7.1 Catalyst Driver errors

Greetings once again.
A few days ago, I installed a X850XT into my machine, it worked great under my old 6.2 catalyst drivers, but was slower than the machine it previously inhabited. So I get it into my head that maybe a driver upgrade would be in order. I installed the 7.1 Catalyst drivers, and found, to my dismay, that Company of Heroes, Dawn of War, Halo all refused to work. By refused to work, I mean they all came up with a black screen throughout the the logos, and the title screen. I've yet to be able to get into a game with these games, so I do not know if it's title-exclusive or otherwise. This also happens with the Catalyst "Demo" when tweaking settings in the 3d mode, but that is far, far more buggy. It comes up with stretched lines of various colours, and a black backround. But nothing goes wrong when I'm playing video.
Can anyone shed some light onto this? I know I got the right drivers for my system, it just fails to function.

 

*Sarcasm* Do I have to sing an epic ballad of love and drivers just for someone to attempt to assist?
I do hate bumping, but I'm out of ideas on this one. Could ya guys please help?
