7300gt pipes

i recently bought a 7300gt from ncix.com (great site btw) it seriusly beating the hell out of my 6200, i read some reviews that some of the piplines are locked and cannot be unlocked....is this true? or is there a way to actually unlock those bad boys?

 

google it and mess around with riva tuner, its possible u could have got a card with unlockable pipes since not all are the same (im going by the 6 series it they are somewhat similar)

 

Hmm by how much does it beat the 6200? I ask because a friend of mine has a 6200 and it runs Empire at War and Fear really badly. I heard the 7300 series were slow but maybe the GT is faster.
As for pipe unlocking, if Rivatuner shows you some 'masked' pipes, then it's possible. Look for the 'masked' tag underneath the units that are open. With it being a GT model though (the top end 7300) it's probable that all the pipes are already open.

instead of unlocking pipes just get another card for SLI
