    ok here it goes.
    i have a sony vaio model #pcv-rx360ds
    pentium 3 866mhz
    intel 815 chipset (direct agp)
    128 mb pc133 sdram
i want to up the ram to 512 (max allowed)
i have heard that i need to use a 16 chip stick of ram. is this true? and if so a couple of suggestions would help me out alot . i am buying from newegg.com. also how to tell an 8 chip from a 16 chip.

while i was looking into what ram i needed someone said something about , if your comp. can handle 512mb per slot then it can take 8 chip. if it can only handle 256mb per slot then you need to use 16 chip . i just don't want to order the wrong kind.
