Hi I've just gotten my eMachines T6420 and i thought it was going to be 1mb but it's "895.4" :(. I removed all the aol stuff too. Here are the specs:
eMachines T6420 2.2ghz NVIDIA geforce 6100 graphics card Microsoft windows xp media center edition 2005 service pack 2. How could i make it 1gb without having to upgrade it?. Also, i'm looking into gaming any recommendations for WoW (i meet near recommended) or CoH (past recommended)?.

You thought what was going to be 1 MB?

Are your referring to the system memory, do you mean 1 GB?

The geforce 6100 is an on-board graphics and not an actual pci or agp card.

It uses the system memory to function. So if you have 1024 MB of system memory and the graphics is using 128 MB of that, then you are left with 896 MB of system ram available.

    Thats normal for on-board gpu's, don't worry. :)

If you buy an actual graphics card however, it will have it's own on-board memory and won't need to use dedicated system memory.

Hmm, i knew i was forgetting something, i forgot it was onboard graphics. So my computer will function as 896?. Does that mean my games will play slower?. Darn.

yes, games will play slower with onboard video. But , the video card will only use 128mb as its MAX limit as to how much RAM it can use. When u arent doing anything else, it should give u back most ur RAM.

U sound disappointed, which games were u planning on playing? we could recommend a good card for ya. price range too if u really want one

I was hoping for 1024mb but since its only gona be 128mb as its MAX that makes me feel better, i was a little isappointed since i thought it was going to be 1024mb. I'm looking to play CoH (city of heroes, possibly villans later on) and eventually down the road WoW (world of warcraft). Price range i'd supposed would be $100-$200 USD. Would i need to get a better psu? i'm not sure on what wattage my current one has.

that should do fine with CoH and WoW; if these are the only games u plan on playing then i wouldnt upgrade unless u had to.
