9800GT vs 9800GT Akimbo

I just ordered the 9800GT Akimbo as it was the same price and specs as my current 9800GT. It's also a dual slot board and I can't see any difference between the two except for the box. I've since read that the Akimbo is a highly overclockable card but I've managed to easily OC my current card to similar speeds, is this just a box change only?:confused

One other thing, what's a good temp for these cards to run at (EVGA is no help) as the fan gets noisy after %60 duty cycle. Thanks as always.
