MY BROTHER RECENTLY PUT A NEW HARD DRIVE( I THINK THATS WHAT ITS CALLED) ... MY LAPTOP WAS ACTING UP BEFORE THAT, WE TOOK IT IN, BUT THE GUY SAID IT WOULD BE 100++ FOR REPAIR. SO THATS WHEN MY BROTHER PUT A NEW HARD DRIVE, AND WELL EVERYTHING STARTED TO WORK FINE.. EXCEPT:

PCI DEVICES and VIDEO CONTROLLER I'VE BEEN ASKING MY BROTHER ABOUT IT ALL HE SAYS ITS THE HARD DRIVE THAT DOESNT RECONZIE ANYTHING. MY BROTHER WHO INSTALLED THE NEW HARD DRIVE HAD TO RE-ADD EVERYTHING FROM INTEL...

SO I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR SOLUTIONS AND UPDATES ABOUT WHAT TO DO, BUT NOTHING REALLY SEEMS TO FIT MY PROBLEM.

SOOooOOO IF YOU ARE ABLE TO RECONIZE MY ISSUE. PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

    Welcome to MG :wave
The best place to start is with some more info.
Are you saying that the PCI Devices and Video Controller have question marks in front of them in Device Manager?

If you have a retail PC, post the manufacturer name and full model #
Use Everest to get a report of your system’s hardware, OS, and drivers. Upload the report as an attachment
    Everest: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4181
When Everest is done scanning, click "Report" at the top of the Everest window, click next to get to "Report Profile", select "Hardware-related Pages", click next, select "Plain Text", click "Finish". Then when it is done processing, click "Save To File". Save it where you want to. (I would use Desktop.)
Click "Go Advanced" in the MG reply box, scroll down a little way until you see "Manage Attachments", click it, browse to your file, click "Upload", and close the window. Then submit the post. You may have to also type something in the reply box, like, "Here's my report.", so that it will submit.

Ok, Download and install these in order: (They are all from Dell and for your PC model)
Uninstall the PCI device and the Video Controller from within Device Manager.

Intel Mobile Chipset Driver - (It's always best to install this before installing other drivers)
    http://support.dell.com/support/dow...1&impid=-1&formatcnt=1&libid=27&fileid=149851

    ATI Radeon Mobility X1300
    http://support.dell.com/support/dow...-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=1&libid=6&fileid=171079

    Intel 945GM Graphics Controller
    http://support.dell.com/support/dow...-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=1&libid=6&fileid=205126

Now re-boot and let me know what is going on.

This is all Everest is telling me about the video: Unknown / Video Controller (VGA Compatible)
The second driver is supposed to be the video driver for that Dell and motherboard.
Unless you have the nVida chip instead. This would be that driver:
    nVidia GeForce Go 7300
    http://support.dell.com/support/dow...-1&impid=-1&formatcnt=1&libid=6&fileid=167183

These are the instructions for that 3rd driver:
1.Double-click the new icon on the desktop labeled R153830.EXE.
2.The Self-Extracting window appears and prompts you to extract or
unzip to C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R153830. Write down this path so the executable (I.e.
Setup.exe) file can be found later.
    3.The Self-Extractor window appears.
    4.Click OK.
5.After completing the file extraction, if the Self-Extractor
window is still open, close it.
6.Click the Start button and then click Run.
7.Type C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R153830 in the Open textbox and then click OK.
    8.Follow the on-screen installation instructions.
