A Bit OT: Are MicroSD Cards the same as TransFlash Media?

I finally purchased my first Cell phone that's compatible w/ MicroSD Memory cards. But, while searching for MicroSD, a lot of retailers bring up "TransFlash." All seem to come with a standard SD Card Adapter for readers.

So, before I make a mistake, is MicroSD and TransFlash the same thing?
