First problem. I am using an administrative account on windows XP, when I try right clicking on any item in the all programs under start menu, nothing happens. But when I use a different account that is limited (I haven't tested it out yet with another admin account), right clicking on items works. Any clue why?

Second problem. I can not find a shortcut link to Internet Explorer 7 or Paint.

Thanks in advance for any and all help I get.

    1. Right click on the taskbar, choose properties Start menu tab, select customize, then advanced and make sure "enable dragging and dropping" is ticked.

    2. Right click your desktop and select properties. Click Desktop and then click Customize desktop. Tick Internet Explorer and then OK then click Apply and then OK.

Second problem. I can not find a shortcut link to Internet Explorer 7 or Paint.
    mspaint.exe is found in C:\WINDOWS\system32
there are any number of ways to put it back into All Programs, Accessories. I would go to the file and right click on it and choose create shortcut. The shortcut will appear at the end of the system32 files. Then I would change the shortcuts name from mspaint.exe to Paint. Then drag the shortcut to Start, All Programs, Accessories. Lastly delete the shortcut you created (not the original file) from system32. When in doubt about a file, right click and choose properties. Updates for Microsoft Windows yesterday, one for IE 6, I was glad to see Mr. Bill didn't forget about me.

Thanks for the help Matacumbie, It works now. I have no idea why that wasn't on.

studiot, The administrative account that I have is only for when I am doing something very important, like trying to fix a problem :) . So yes, I use my limited account for basic uses and internet.

Bugballou, with your help I found my internet explorer 7, but I can not find paint. I look in C:\WINDOWS\system32 for mspaint.exe and could not find it. Could it be that I somehow deleted paint? If so, can I download it off the internet?

Click on Start > Run > and type MSPAINT > Enter

If you don't get anything go to Add/Remove programs in the control panel. Look to your left and select Add/Remove Windows Components. Highlight Accessories and Utilities and click Details, highlight Accessories and click on Details. MsPaint should be at the bottom, check it to reinstall paint.
