HUNTINGTON BEACH - Colby Curtin got her final wish.
The 10-year-old girl desperately wanted to see the new Disney-Pixar movie, "Up." But the cancer-stricken girl was too sick to go to a theater.

On June 10, an employee of Pixar Animation Studios, which is based in the San Francisco Bay city of Emeryville, flew with a DVD copy to Colby's home. By then, the girl had only hours to live, The Orange County Register reported Friday.





Brought a tear to my eyes too, I'll admit.

 

That is so sad to hear a parent out living their child even worst your only child. It's good she (the girl)got her wish.There are so many out there that don't .
My older brother past before my parents.(my fathers name sake to boot). Both my parents took it really bad.I really think my dad took it worst as my mother was the glue of the family.
My heart goes out to the mother as well as the father.

 

Lump in the throat time. I, like bt, am glad Colby got her final wish. Very good of the studio to go to those lengths to make her last hours happy. I suppose there's some good left in big business after all.

 

It is a really heartbreaking thing to see your children so sick and the feeling of helplessness is much more painfull because you always feel "what have i done wrong"
A heartwarming story and cudos to Pixar for a wonderfull act of kindness.

I got that lump too, Joey, and it is so good to hear she got her final wishes too... Such a little doll! Yes, this is one that should have made the front page all over ! Thanks obnoxious, for restoring our faith, that there are still "good guys" out there ! They don't get mentioned much anymore...
