When buying a video card, I know what to look for, but I know that people buy video cards for watching movies. If I was to do this, what would I look at getting?

I was suggested the X1300 Pro, but I don't completely understand why, it only has 4 pixel pipelines, and low clock speeds.

Also, what's the advantages of having a better video card when watching movies, because I have upgraded my card for gaming, but I haven't noticed any difference in my theatre experience.

There are absolutely no advantages, all video cards will allow you to watch a movie most will even if the card is 4-5 years old the picture will be exactly the same,a PC has to run way more calculations to run a game compared to a DVD:)
