A few strange things:

About once a week my computer boots up as if I pressed the F8 key. If I leave it alone it will reboot normally. Another weird thing is when I follow the normal steps for clearing the temp files and the cookies I have a problem 40% of the time.
Control Pannel>Internet options>Delete Files>Delete all off line content>OK>Delete Cookies>OK>OK,

It's at this point that it gets stuck. I end up having to use the task mgr to "END" it. Any idea what wrong? Thanks.

 

Probably freezes because it has so many to delete possibly?

I use the c-cleaner once a day but it locks up here and there too.

 

Can you download Memtest, available from MG and see if you get any errors?
Leave it running for about 2 hours.

I started the memtest but it just disappears after about an hour and a half. Is that what it does if no problem come up?

 

It shouldn't disappear at all, I've left it running for 4 hours.
Did any errors come up at all?

 

I didn't see any but it disappears. Let me ask ya. On the download page there were two MEMTEST files. did I need the top one onr the bottom one. Maybe just give me the link to the one you feel I should use. Thanks.

Have you ran a full system virus scan recently and done a spyware check using Ad-Aware?
