A good thunderstorm at 3 in the morning

I don't know about you guys but there is one hell of a nice thunderstorm where i'm at. I love those storms that you're awake to see and enjoy especially this late. However i hate it when you wake up to it because it becomes noisy and bothersome....

Its a love hate relationship there!!

 

I have a love/hate relationship with storms as well. Hearing the rain and the thunder can be so nice, really makes you want to cuddle up in bed and drift away to sleep...but at the same time they kind of scare me. Those noisy storms when I was a kid scared me to death. Felt like all that rain was going to make the roof fall in..

 

i hate those bolts of lightning that are less than a mile away and you hear that loud crack

 

Yea those are not so fun, hehe...

Me, my mom, and my dad went to the beach one day, unfortunately it was starting to cloud up, and my dad went outside to look at the sky, and see where the wind was blowing, etc. All of a sudden a bolt of lighting came crashing down right next to him, for a second I thought he had gotten hit.

 

My dog is terrified from thunderstorms, and gets himself worked up in a state from panicking.

I can tell they're on the way as he starts acting strange beforehand.

 

i just keep my eyes on the clouds.. Taking meteorology 101 has sharpened my weather senses greatly. But then again i always had a passion for weather and meteorology

I didn't have a thunderstorm last night, but I did tonight. I too like thunderstorms - but my wife (who is the smartest person I know) wants to go off and chase tornados!!

No thanks - my hide will be hunkered down in the basement if a tornado should come my way. I like seeing lightning, but I have NO desire to see a tornado . . .

 

Love thunderstorms, but don't appreciate getting woke up in the middle of the night. Or having the power knocked out for hours. Or the tornadoes that frequently accompany the boomers around here. After losing a couple modems, a subwoofer in the living room and my original Klipsch Promedia 4.1s to lightning strikes, I have GOOD surge/spike protectors all over the house and a GOOD uninterruptable power supply.
