Hi amigos, I just got my new Pc( with alot of help from MajorGeeks) and everything is running smooth and very quickly at that. Half Life2, FarCry and GTA SA works great with out any glitches or hangups....execpt my Sims1 games. I installed the games and they worked great until I came to the neighborhood, then the screen became distored kinda like the old NES games used to( then you pulled the game out and blew in it = ), certain parts of the screen were out of place and the game was unplayable. I already own Sims2 but Id like the old Sims and its EPs on my Pc as well, is there anyway to get these games to work?

    Win XP Home Edition
    AMD Athlon64 3500+
    2.21GHz, 1.00gb of ram
    nVidia6600gt
    Creative Labs 24bit

    Thanks for any help given.

You got old drivers installed for your video card, uninstall them and download the newest batch from nvidia.com

Thanks for the response. I went to site but couldnt find drivers for the 6 series. Will uninstalling over my old drivers create a problem? Thanks for any help given Merc.

I installed the nVidia drivers just now, everything worked smooth until I rebooted then I found out my Ethernet drivers had been uninstalled. After reinstalling the drivers( and reinstalling my browser  ) everything works ok...and Im about to reinstall the sims and see if it works now. Thanks for the help.

Hey, I think I screwed my new pc up trying to install those drivers. Im missing an .ini file and also missing a Bitmap isys Traymenu and now my 1394 ethernet driver is working. I reinstalled my browser and it fixed one of the drivers but the 1394 driver wont install or find the neccessary files from disk and im not able to get on the internet. Lol, my game are working fine though...execpt The Sims1, it started doing the same thing again. :p

Any help will be much appreciated.

Yeh, I restored it to a week earlier, didnt help. I heard that my 1394 ethernet drivers have to be loaded from the WinXP disc, but when I tried( through the Device Manager) it wouldnt find the coorect drive( code 28).
