A little tip about IOBit Defrag

I've been on the look out for a portable defrag app for some time, and I never really was a fan of IOBit for one reason or another. Until I discovered that it's portable. What you do is install it as usual, then go to C:\Program Files\... and copy the IOBit folder to a thumb drive. You can then run it from the thumb drive by simply opening the folder and launching the .EXE file. I usually copy the IObit folder to the desktop first, that way I don't have to leave the thumb drive in the PC during the defrag. Then when the defrag is done, right click the IOBit icon in the system tray, click Exit, and delete the IOBit folder from the desktop. Once you have the IOBit folder on your thumb drive, you can use it as a portable app forever. Too cool!

JKDefrag is excellent, and a very thorough defragger, which is usually a good thing, but sometimes it can take hours to complete a full drive defrag, but I do use it in cases of extreme fragmentation when other defraggers just don't seem to do the job.

Personally, I haven't spent much time with Defraggler. It is also available here at Major Geeks http://www.majorgeeks.com/Defraggler_d5777.html. I haven't used it in a while but maybe I'll give it a 2nd look... thanks for the reminder
