A mixed train journey.

Ok, yeah, I would put this on my blog, but right now my server is throwing a fit. *grr*

But anyway. Every other weekend, I take the train from my home town to london, to see my dad. This weekend when I came back, after getting to the mainline station from the tube, I got on the mainline train back to my town, and it was really packed. About 5 people, including me, were standing up. Me, a young couple and an old couple, and the old man had a broken arm.

About 5 minutes into the journey, a girl with a yellow tshirt got up and went to this man, and said "There's a seat free over there if you want it" "Oh is there? That's your seat isn't it?" "Yeah, I don't mind, I was going to stand up anyway".

I thought that was an unusually nice and civil thing to do in that situation. Plus one!

Later, after one of the outer London stops, a load of young loutish people, aka "chavs", got on the train. They proceeded to talk at the top of their voices, standing up, swearing every other word for no apparent reason, drinking beer. Drinking beer... on the train! Why isn't that illegal!? It wasn't even nice beer, it was Fosters... the crappy English stuff. To make matters worse, one of them opened a can right next to me, and sprayed me with it. Probably not deliberatley... but instead of appologising, they just laughed. I wasn't about to start a fight, so I just looked at him dispairingly.

And no, the chavs didnt get off yet! They actually lit a cigarette WHILE ON THE TRAIN. Which is completley against the rules, shown by the "no smoking" signs on every wall. Why??

 

Lol, yes, it does, but if I did that I'd be no better than them. Thats happened too often as well... twats on the underground who pull the emergency handle as they walk out... grrrr

 

Sounds like they were part of the same species that ruined BluesMan's fishing trip.

I despair, I really do.

IIRC there are camera's everywhere in the Tube right? why weren't they spotted ?

 

Not in the tube... was on the mainline train. And there are cameras all over the tube stations, but not in all of the trains. And if it were on the tube, i would have been slightly less annoyed as the maximum time on the train would have been about 20 minutes... this was at least 40!!

I hope somthing did happen, because where they got off i saw a glint of orange uniform and them saying "Where does they think they're going...?" I hope he got fined for smoking on the train

Yeah but its not actually brewed in Australia, its brewed here (well the stuff thats SOLD here anyway). Tastes completley different. And crap (in my opinion anyway)

What im trying to say is they were drinking pretend australian beer.
