a new day a new problem

Everytime I fix a problem one one of my pcs another starts acting up. I just fixed a .dll problem on my hp. Now my dell is acting up again. when I try to use wmp it loads up slow sometimes in stops responding. I put in my chevelle cd and it did not start up by its self like it normally does. so i opened it myself and when to play the cd in the D: drive it read the name of the cd but I got a error message saying:

I am also K-Lite Codec Pack on media media player to play dvds and avi.

Why am I getting this error when I am trying to play cds? should I remove K-Lite Codec Pack and Windows Media player and redownload?


Edit: I think I figured the problem both my cd burn and dvd burn drives were missing. I think it maybe a short in the ribbon cable, because when I reseted my pc they where back and my cd started playing. I took the ribbon cable out of a another pc of mine that had fried a couple months ago.
