This was done before and I found it interesting to see others desktop settings,


This is mine I currently run my Laptop in a Duel Clone setting with extended desktop.


This enables me to
have independant control of programs on both screens independant of each other.


This is multi tasking at its fullest,,sign of a definate GEEK LOL,,,Glenn

That has to be the absolute coolest desktop I have ever seen! What is all that stuff you have on there? How did you make it look so cool? Did you use some special software to dress up XP? Thumbs up, man, I'm inspired!!

 

OK all with the help of GL STONED fixed up my desktop,,a streamer look enjoy all , Glenn

 

Well, close, but not quite. It's a bouzouki. Pronounced just like the gun, only with an "E" sound at the end. It's like a large mandolin, 4 sets of strings, all tuned in unison, or tuned with the base strings in octaves. It was originally greek, with a large bowl back, but the Celts stole it, made a few modifications, and now it's standard Celtic music fare.

BTW, are those icons in the lower right corner all things running in the background? Just curious...

Yes Eric....i like perty, green, plant (images) such as that leaf... nice and simple and doesn't clutter the desktop =]

plus, it fit the color scheme of the desktop.... green (Xbox) windows theme, green winamp 5 skin (called Spyamppro), and i have one of the green LED mouse pads

 

Yes Small icons in lower toolbar on right,,,are running processes,,,,,

 

Wow, maybe it's just me, but that's a lot of running processes!

Interested to look at the various desktops. Mine is boring so I won't post it but I do use

SlickRun v3.2.2.2 http://www.bayden.com/slickrun/updates.asp?l=en&ver=3.2.2.2

to do away with most shortcuts.

I have 148 magicwords stored as replacements to shortcuts.

For example if I type in AVG it runs AVG anti virus. AD runs AdAware, BAZ runs Bazooka, Avast runs Avast, etc. So there is no need for most shortcuts. This will tidy up your desktop. Bazza

Where do you guys get your pix? And the cool layouts of toolbars, and floating thingies and bar-ma-bobs that tell you about your computers?

I'm impressed and wanna do some of this stuff too! I think I'll stick around MG and learn some stuff.

First right click it and clear the check next to Lock the Taskbar. Then I added the quick launch toolbar, address toolbar, and New Toolbar... and made one from My Computer, so that I have easy access to all my drives and folders. Then you can drag them around to set it up so they make sense to you, and then lock your taskbar up again Easy

 

I'm not running anything other than the default standard Windows XP settings for my desktop and taskbar, but I do make my own wallpapers There's a link in my profile I think.

when I change the theme
it only changed the background

I used to be able to change the start bar and stuff
I dunno

You have to make the file size smaller,,either by resizing the image or reducing the quality to a lower resolution,,,,,,Glenn

 

Okay I'm giving up. Suffice it to say that my desktop doesn't match all of yours though. LOL
