a PSU question

I have 650 watt PSU and wold like to know if it would be enough for a WD 3tb cavier green hard drive and Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB SATA III 7200 RPM 64 MB Cache Internal Desktop Hard Drive Bulk/OEM - WD1002FAEX, that hard drive on an asus p5qe mobo with windows 7 32bit. i have a few fans as well, i have one on the case which isnt running. Some feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Much also depends on the brand of the PSU, some are very poor quality or still based on 10 year old + designs that do not match outputs well for more modern PCs.

It's possible that having a lot of HDD/ODDs connected may lead to a problem at boot up, 3.5" HDDs might pull 10-16W each at start up (and they all start at the same time), yet only use ~7 W when in heavy usage - it depends on the design of the PSU.

If in doubt, go for a quality Seasonic or XFX PSU.

well, I got the drive. Everything seems to be working like a charm right now. Have to give it a second to see how it goes. Thank you for the replies. Any reply really does help.
