A Question 'bout DVD/VCD Burning...

    I know this has already been asked, and I've already checked a few threads, but none of them answered the questions I had.

    I downloaded a movie off BitTorrent (FFVII: Advent Children) that had a subtitle file separate from the movie file. The contents of the folder were, as follows:

    bien-xvid-ff7.avi - the movie file, in .AVI format.

    bien-xvid-ff7.nfo - some sort of MSInfo file, in .NFO format. (How is this file important?)

    Folder Final Fantasy VII Advent Children - English SRT Subs

    ---> bien-xvid-ff7.srt - subtitle file, in .SRT format.

    ---> bien-xvid-ff7.nfo - yet another MSInfo file

    FolderSubs

    ---> bien-xvid-ff7-subs.sfv - I don't know what this is, but it's an .SFV file.

    ---> bien-xvid-ff7.rar - an archived RAR file, which contains two files in .idx and .sub formats.

    --->Folder bien-xvid-ff7-subs

    --->---> bien-xvid-ff7(.idx, .sub, .srt) - once again, the three subtitle files popped up in this folder.

    Anyway, I played the movie in BSPlayer with the .srt files, and voila, I could understand the Japanese! And then I went and opened the .srt file in Notepad, did some changing via logical reasoning, and made the subtitles more to my liking. I played it again, and I saw my changes appear in the subtitles, and I was all very "Yay, woohoo!"ey.

    But now it's getting rather annoying having to load up the .srt file every time I watch the movie, and now I'm also wanting to burn it to either a) a VCD, or b) a DVD (I would prefer the second one so as not to lose any video quality).

    So I have two dilemnas to deal with:

    1. Is there any way I can permanently "paste" my subtitles into the movie, so that they become one single file?

    2. How should I go about burning the movie to DVD (complete with my own set of extras, subtitle toggling, and scene selection)? Or, if I'm not able to do that, then to VCD?

    I've got an HP Pavillion pc with a built-in DVD+RW/CD-RW drive/writer. There's also this program on my computer called RecordNow, which I use to write my music CDs. I tried using it to create DVDs, but I couldn't do anything with it.

    So any help would be greatly appreciated. And if this isn't the right thread... well, my apologies.

    See, that is a naughty thing to do. It's also known as being a Pirate. So, we can't help you here. Sorry. If you had a legitmate movie, say, a home video or something, we could help you.

    Oh, god... I'm sorry about this.

    My idiot brother probably thought it'd be a good idea to ask something here. He's been talking to me about doing this for some time now.

    When I first saw the reply in my inbox, I was very confused.

    Again, I'm really sorry. I'll try and make sure this doesn't happen again. Is there any way I can delete this thread?

    It can be done, but it's very tedious and complicated. Run an internet search and see for yourself. Just wait for the DVD, it will most likely have an English soundtrack in addition to the original dialogue.
