a router question

um i dont know if you guys would know how to help me with this

my router can be annoying sometimes it takes forever well it feels like forever lol to boot up pages

my internet is 4 mbps i used to have i think 1mbps but my cox service upgraded everyone to 4 mbps

i dont know how to get to my router but thats not my question

i wanna know if i can fix my router so it will stop being so slow i think my router just doesnt know how to go the speed of my service

i have a linksys wireless g braodband router 2.4 ghz 54 mbps and if i remember correctly i didnt get the router with the speed boost
