A side of Gott you'll never hear again...unless, like, you keep these or something...

As you may or may not know, me and a few of my buddies have been recording songs for quite a while now...We stick to the whole idea that improvisation is key for finding true inspiration. It's through this ideaology that has sustained us for 4 years, and allowed to accumulate a library of over 300 songs. I thought it would be a decent idea to let some of you folks listen to a few of them, and perhaps you'll find them funny (or maybe even good!). We don't take any of it seriously, so please keep criticism to a minimum. I'm on vocals most of the time, but i occasionally throw in some extra guitar where needed...So, keeping in mind that this is all improv, I present to you some new listening pleasure. ;)

Aviso! - The lyrics for this song are from the Spanish warning label on a 5 gallon bucket we found in my friend's basement. The percussion you hear are plastic coffee containers.

Back Already - An instrumental with me playing lead. Some of the ways we click in this song (right around 1:00 is a part that gets me everytime) amazes me. It's even hard for me to believe it's improv. But, I digress...I'd rather not toot my horn.

Two should do it for now...I don't want to overwhelm you with how awesome we are. ;)

Opinions would be nice, but not necessary...and negative comments will be overlooked. :)

[If you're curious why I'm posting this now, it's mostly due to eclayton's request for fewer threads that could result in negativity.]

Oh yeah...I forgot to add a disclaimer to Aviso!...The beginning of it is full of noise and chaos, and the song is actually AFTER that. ;)

You have no idea. We always make an event of it. :D

    Thank you very much. :)

If we leave an impression on but one person, our mission is accomplished. ;) :D

Dude! Now THAT is what music is supposed to be! Pure celebration! Man, put up some more, NOW!

I loved Aviso, esp knowing it was a warning label! I was laughing out loud, imagining you guys doing the Mexican hat dance as you performed the song.

I liked the leads you were playing too. Fun stuff, very enjoyable!

We played it out loud this morning (last night I had the headphones on and there was a lot of background noise in the room) and I was just busting a gut at the guy in the background. Kolya and Drexel really liked it too. Drexel said, "More Mew-gis!!" when it was done (and that's definitely a compliment). :D

    I'm a downloading :)

I love random improv type stuff... plastic coffee containers eh? :D more original than a section I did a while ago using bottle tops.

Actually, that might be a project for this evening. See if I can make an interesting song using keyboard, clarinet and... random pieces of things lying around the house :p

Sure! I just have to figure out what's best to put up here. Some of our stuff isn't necessarily "family friendly" so I'll sort through our instrumentals, and just plain goofy songs to put up a few more...I might not be able to do it until later tonight since I have to work.

Wow...Our first fan! haha...If we ever print shirts, Drexel gets an autographed one! :D

Thanks very much! Well, like I said, we have a lot of songs, so we have many burned CDs, but nothing that would be suitable for mass production. Since most of our music is improv (with the exception of a few covers here and there) stuff isn't really as refined as would be necessary for a CD. If you have a gmail account, though, I'd be more than happy to hook you up with some mp3s. :)

Hey Gott, just wanted to thank you. My kids have started requesting Adviso. Kolya said, "It's just such a good song!" :D

Bwahaha!! Your children OBVIOUSLY have great taste! :D

I'm going to look around and see what songs I can post on here. Please hold. :)

Okay Eric...Here are four more tracks. I'll keep looking to see what other "decent" songs we have. ;)

No Pants - This is a much more goofy version of a much more serious song...Does that make sense? Anyway, we recorded this about a week after we made the first one (the serious one).

More Cowbell - This is our poor attempt at covering "Don't Fear the Reaper." How sad is it? We don't even HAVE a cowbell...We had to settle for a tambourine. You may want to turn your treble down, and when it gets around 3 minutes, you may want to turn your volume down as well. ;) At that point, we don't really care about good song construction...Just listen, and you'll know what I mean.

Western Jaw-Breaker - An instrumental...Has a kind of "western" feel to it...Not much else to say, really.

Why? - A new female friend of mine is actually playing guitar, and I'm singing. The lyrics are inspired, but pretty bland...I just love the guitar part she's playing.

Well, that's all for now, folks. As always, (positive) input is welcome! :)
