A True Image Novice

I am using True Image (version 9.0) for the first time. I cannot seem to find how to do a full back up of my hard drive and store it on an external drive. Can someone help me? Thanks

 

Have you read the user manual?

BTW....I'm not being smart here.....the user manual/guide explains it in detail.

The previous poster (MajorGeeks Forum Member jconstan) is correct. Unlike many software programs and utilities which users can simply install and then immediately use; Acronis True Image requires a fairly thorough read of the included manual and/or HELP files in order to get the most out of using it.

You also might consider posting in the Acronis True Image "official forum" where you can post questions; or view other posts concerning the Acronis True Image Product Line. You can view as many posts as you want; but if you wish to post questions (or 'reply' to any posts in the forum), you will need to register before doing so.

Also check the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section regarding Acronis True Image 9.0 Home Edition.

Yes, I have read and re-read the manual. No where does it seem to ask for a destination drive.

 

ok there is online users guide in pdf file:

read chapter 5, there is all needed instructions.

 

Select CREATE IMAGE

Select PARTITION (source)

Select IMAGE ARCHIVE (this is your destination location)

Create a name for your image file.

Away you go.
