A warning sign appeared in the task bar "virtual memory is below the minimum required

    Whats the best way to free up this.And how to check it afterwards.

    Some more information is required.

    What operating system do you use? ( XP on default settings does a much better job of managing resources than 98 or ME )

    How much RAM do you have?

    When do you get this warning?

    What is the size of your Hard Drive and how much free space is available etc ??

    I callled HP on this one.But for those reading this heres what they told me to do.
    We ran MSCONFIG and went to startup.Then unchecked many of the programs not needed on start up. Your help is always appreciated..............wes
