AAAAHHHHHRRRGGGGGGGGG....WiFi

    Merry Christmas Guys and Gals:confused: :confused: :confused:
    I awoke to a laptop that will not pick up my WiFi addys at all, I'm not super computer literate(thank GOD for this site):) I get an IP and a subnet but am not receiving a default gateway addy nor a DNS.....DHCP is enabled and this is all by linksys wrk54g router and a WUSB54G v2.0 WiFi receiver. to a 2003 compaq laptop.. re installed the original XP not the service pack 2... I lost all my pics and music files ...a true bummer as there were some one of a kind files NOT backed up...
    I'm at wits end as to how to proceed..PLEASE any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated

    Shut the router off, that is, unplug it from the wall. Unplug your modem, I am assuming cable. Drink a cup of coffee. Restart your computers and turn the router and modem back on.
