Hey... My 3 neices and sister-in-law are flying down to Orlando on saturday, and staying until the following saturday!! They are going to do the typical Orlando thing...KSC, Disney World, Sea World, Universal, etc., etc!!

I was just wondering if maybe you two had a little more insight on the probability of unfortunate weather with the hurricanes and all!! Something a little more than our ten o'clock news here in Chicago!! Didn't know if maybe Star had a little inside info...with his job and all!!!!????

    Any info would be appreciated!!

Unless Hurricane Rita does a U-turn or drops anchor, it will be close to Texas by the time your nieces get to Orlando. Rita is thrashing the Florida Keys this evening and will have cleared out by midday tomorrow.

For pretty much any place in Florida, mid-90's, 30% chance of t-storms is built into every forecast; with the humidity here, they pop up usually in the late afternoon. If your nieces are fair-skinned, SPF45 minimum is a good idea.

Here's a local Orlando link for some weather info

HOT TIP: Stay off I-4 unless absolutely necessary...1950's Interstate trying to accomdate 2005 traffic ;)

i hated going down I-4 when ever we would go from polk city to lakeland. it was always a hellish trip but i always got a smile when ever we past that DC-3 (nose down) next to it with that dummy hanging from its tail wheel by his chute.

What is the main drag through Kissimmee St. Cloud...can't remember...I wanna say somethin like 294 or 194 or something like that?? Anyway...my garndparents used to own a house down there by Lake Tohopekaliga...for 15 years they went down every winter so he could fish!! I remember going down there when I was in 4th grade (9yrs old) and there was NOTHING on that main drag...then I went down again in high school and everyone had started taking advantage of the tourism in the area!!! Then I went down again about 5 yrs ago and now EVERY Tom, Dick, and Harry owns a go-cart track and a goofy golf, or something to that effect!!!! Which then they were doing some MAJOR road construction trying to get in step with the times, which made it worse!! I'm curious to see, one of these days, what it is like now!!!! Have they caught up with themselves, or will it be like Atlant...they started too late so they will never get it the way it is needed!!!!

I'm particularly fond of Old Town!!
