Good, other than the fact that I'm still at work for about one more hour. Druther be home.

 

Got some good news this week, for a change.

After being on the current meds for a month, they sucked more blood to check PSA levels (and some other stuff) to make sure the stuff was doing what it was supposed to.

"Normal" PSA levels are zero to four. Twenty is considered "very high". My last PSA test before therapy was over 1900, which is OH CRAP range. Latest one is down to 305. Which is by no means "good", but is a good indicator that the hormone depravation therapy is doing what it's supposed to. Which means that we don't have to go to anything nastier for treatment yet.

LOL. I'm probably the only guy in the entire Memphis metro area that is happy with a PSA score of 305.

Probably not, as wide spread as the cancer is. And whether it does or not, it's basically a holding action, not a cure. It doesnt' kill it, it just keeps it from spreading any further, for a while.

Well at lest your PSA levels are only about one sith of what it was, which is (semi) good news.
