I got an KV8 Pro a couple days ago and it wouldn't boot up.

The problem is that it does not boot, gives one long beep plus 3 short beeps, and gives a bunch of funky post codes that aren't listed in the manual.

After searching many forums I found that many other people ran into this problem, unfortunately out of the 20 or so threads I looked at, there was not one solution.

After much troubleshooting I finally found the answer and figured I'd spread it around for the good of the community.

It seems that there is a design flaw in this board, the cpu fan housing wasn't made correctly. Take the fan off and cpu out, then loosen the screws on the plastic peice the fan goes into. put the cpu back in, and then place the fan on top gently, with the screws loose you should be able to attach the fan brackets without an pressure at all. Then lock it place and boot up.

    hope this helps!
