Im deciding on what motherboard i should order/get this coming tuesday.
    These are my choices.
    ASUS:http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=11909&vpn=P4P800-E/DELUXE/UAY&manufacture=ASUS

    ABIT:http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=9841&vpn=IC7-G&manufacture=ABit

Know, for the ASUS, i could pick it up at my local computer store.
For the ABIT i would have to get it shipped.
I am using SOCKET 478 PIN uPGA.
And are these two board compatible with that chip?
    Wich would you get.
I want to put a RADEON 9200 GOLD EDITION 256MB 128-BIT in it so i can play games.
    One more thing.
Will this ram fit in these mobos?

Personally, I'd go for the Abit. But thats just because I'm using an Abit right now which I'm very happy with ;). Plus it looks cooler :p

the abit seems better, the first thing i noticed is that the asus only supports intel up to 3.2ghz i didn't see a limit on the abi, though there might be one.
    there's a nice 6channel onboard sound too

oh and the abit looks nicer lol!

No I'm using an AN7, an upgrade of the NF-S v2.0. Very nice board, very stable.

Doesn't say anything about that board though...technically

    i bought the IC7-G ... but i havent installed yet ...

i might note that if you're not going to be doing any overclocking the ASUS gets slightly better performance ... but only slightly higher performance and you probably wouldn't notice a fraction of FPS higher

Out of those two boards, I would go for the ABIT.

Generally I think they make better motherboards, but looking at that ASUS board, I don't like how close the AGP slot is to the memory slots.

It would be difficult to clip the memory in once the video card is installed going by the graphic.

The ABIT board is also a more logical and neater design, but they are both well-spec'ed boards.

The ram should be fine, but double check if you want to take advantage of Dual-Channel support, and you will probably also need a pair of them for Dual-Channel to work, but again double check.

Well, the ABIT was my first choice and also my last.
    Thank you all.

I'm using the ABIT IC7 G and I love it. Couldn't be happier.
